How to change 1 website into another website?

As an example, I have a website that has links associated with it. I want to re-name the site into something else. But I dont want to lose all my link exchanges and stuff. I.ve heard of a 303 file or 404 im not sure what its called. So anyways im stumped. And this is the idea. migrate A site into B site without losing links.How to change 1 website into another website?
Here is HTML that I have on my old web site. I changed ISPs and had to move everything to Geocities. You must remember that the reroute page will only remain as long as your old ISP allows it. I have had one for about six months so far.

%26lt;html%26gt;

%26lt;head%26gt;

%26lt;meta http-equiv=';refresh'; content=';5;http://www.geocities.com/NEWN?br>
%26lt;title%26gt;Page Moved%26lt;/title%26gt;

%26lt;/head%26gt;

%26lt;body%26gt;

%26lt;center%26gt;

%26lt;br%26gt;%26lt;br%26gt;%26lt;br%26gt;

This website has moved. You will be transferred there in 5 seconds or you may click on the link below.

%26lt;br%26gt;%26lt;br%26gt;

%26lt;a href=';http://www.geocities.com/NEWNAME/';?http://www.geocities.com/NEWNAME/ %26lt;/a%26gt;

%26lt;/center%26gt;

%26lt;/body%26gt;

you want to change the www.webname.com to something else? Ask your hosting company about getting a new domain name and forwarding.
Use following in old site HTML (Example with 10 seconds delay):

%26lt;META HTTP-EQUIV=';Refresh'; CONTENT=';10; URL=http://www.newsite.com/';%26gt;
If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a ';homepage'; which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage. Nevertheless, the ';homepage'; URL is likely to be ';http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscribe?name'; and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., ';mydomain.com'; which allows you to link any registered domain name to ';mask'; another website. For example, should you type in ';domainname.com';, you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber name will be masked by the domainname.com. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE. Here's a demonstration: Type in the URL window: ';www.pizzanextdoor.com'; which will bring up their pizza website. Take note of the domain name. Then type in the URL window: ';http://home.pacbell.net/vten/1a/pizzame?and you will see that this is the original homepage which is unmasked without the domain name!

Good luck!
