How can I have a custom default layout from a website, but change the center to a completely different color?

Such as if I have a black an whit backround image, yet the center of the backround is still the default colors. I want it black with white textHow can I have a custom default layout from a website, but change the center to a completely different color?
If the background is black and white it can't be the default colors, unless the default colors are black and white. It's like saying that you have a 15 cent quarter. If you're using a black and white image and seeing colors, that image is *not* what you're looking at. (Check your code - check your z-orders - check your positioning - check your margins - check your opacity ... SOMETHING isn't what you're assuming it is.)How can I have a custom default layout from a website, but change the center to a completely different color?
If it's an image in your background, you'll have to edit the image, or use css to place a %26lt;div%26gt; over the image.
