How do you get to the back end of a website?

ive bought a domain name www.dawnhapgood.com and my mate put the intro page on but i want to know how i can change the website and put my webpage on the net?? many thanks :)How do you get to the back end of a website?
Next you need to upload your designed website files on webhost.



You can use any of the free FTP softwares like:



CuteFTP ----just punch in your domain name +user id+password to enter the server by simply connecting at FTP.

http://www.cuteftp.com/



Now can put your website pages ..and you are done!



Note:: Always keep the folder structure of your designed website in your mind while loading it at server.First page is

index.html
