Java updating us a good way.
One of the best, would be to use a tool like FrontPage?
You could also use frames, wich keeps a frame on either side of the page you choose, while browsing the other sites inside another window.
Java seems to be the more moden way to do it.
Also a simple navigation bar can clean up that issue.

Well there is one way: Open multiply tabs at once so you can easily switch and modify more then 1 page at a time!
if your making a website with something like squarespace or wordpress it will almost definately update all that stuff for you, that's what makes it so easy
I'm a bit rusty, but if I remember correctly, if you make a frame, it's coded separately and you can just edit the frame and it should update on all of your pages. Try looking on http://www.w3schools.com/
Why don't you make one page with everything u need and then copy it and change the text or images. That way u'll always have the same sidebar etc.
link the page to a css file after that so that if u adjust the size of a div no one page it will adjust on other pages...if u didn't understand this part about css or divs then just stick with the first part.
